Efficacy of Fortex on Avocado

General Objective: To evaluate the effect of the application of Fortex on the increase in production yield of Avocado var. Hass.

Summary

Fortex is a balanced nutritional complex and biostimulant of plant origin based on nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium, it also contains the three main plant growth hormones (Cytokinins, Auxins and Gibberellins) acting in a balanced way.

The specific objectives of this test are the following:

To evaluate the efficacy of Fortex on the growth and development of panicles in the cultivation of Palto var. Hass.
Evaluate the application of Fortex on the increase in fruit set per panicle of the Palto var. Hass.
Evaluate the behavior of the application of Fortex on the growth and development of fruit set in the cultivation of Palto var. Hass.

Trial Treatment

Application of Treatments

The application of the Fortex product (Biostimulant and Antistress) was carried out with the use of a turbine sprayer tractor, distributing the product in a directed manner on the avocado cultivation plant. An application water expenditure of 1800 lt / ha was made.

Evaluation method

The evaluations were recorded at the field level in both the ExcelAg Corp nutritional program plot and the producer’s nutritional management plot.

To determine the yield of avocado production at harvest time, the weight of the fruits in both plots was recorded.
At 15 days after the first application, the height of the panicle was quantified.
At 60 days after the start of the ExcelAg Corp nutrition application, the number of fruit set per panicle was recorded.
The fruits were marked after setting where the growth behavior and development of the fruits were monitored.

Results

In the graph, the results of the behavior of Fortex in the avocado crop were analyzed. The following results were obtained in: Fruit weight (MT / Ha), Panicle height (30 DDA), Number of fruits (60 DDA) and Fruit growth.

Conclusions and recommendations

With the use of Fortex , a better conformation of the panicle, a greater number of fruit set and an excellent growth and development of fruits is ensured.

Use doses of 1.50 to 2.00 L / Ha of Fortex per application.
Schedule rounds of Fortex application from panicle induction, flowering and fruit set.
Make at least 3 applications at the beginning of the agricultural season of Fortex to obtain excellent results of increased production.
