The conventional pesticides show toxicity to the environment and harmful effects on human health. In this context, there is a growing interest in botanical insecticides due to their lack of ecological side effects (Khater, 2012), which makes them desirable alternatives to synthetic chemical insecticides for controlling household pests. They are best suited for use in organic food production, residential and public spaces as a new class of eco-friendly products for pest control. This trial was undertaken to evaluate the efficacy of Boom against Mosquitoes, Flies and Cockroaches as an alternative to current synthetic insecticides. The trials were conducted at a duck farm located in Debe, farm house in Felicity and at Mr. Ashram residence in Charleville, Trinidad, resulting in excellent control of flies, mosquitoes and cockroaches.
Demonstration trials in Trinidad were conducted to control nuisance public health pests (mosquitoes, flies & cockroaches); using BOOM an Organic synergistic Insecticide designed to control mosquitoes, houseflies, horn flies and others for the home and Public Health markets. BOOM concentrate was diluted with water at recommended rates and then applied in the target areas, effectively controlling insects without causing any harm to the environment.

3. Add 100ml of Boom concentrates to the tank and fill to top with water.
4. Document mosquito and sand fly population by biting/hr. - Low frequency, Medium frequency or High frequency.
5. Spray inside and outside of the structure and observation noted.
